Inspiration Shoot: Erin + Classically Chic Designs by Leslie | Kansas City Photographer

inspiration , February 7, 2013

Clearly I am a crazy person. A really crazy person. Because I can’t think of any other reason to explain why I set up an outdoor 7 am shoot in the middle of a Kansas winter lol. But it’s all good! I’m super happy with the results and absolutely in love with the quality of the light of God’s morning sunrise (oh yeah, that’s why I chose 7 am ๐Ÿ˜€ ).

Many thanks to ultra-fab make up artist Leslie and the lovely model Erin for braving the 34หš morning cold (which is actually kind of warm, I suppose!) and absolutely rocking out the shoot. The shoot took place on my old stomping grounds of Lawrence, Kansas–where I spent 8 of the best years of my life! So any reason to return to Lawrence is a good one. We started off our shoot just north of the river by the trail and ended the shoot in some of the alleys behind Mass St.

I.Absolutely.Adore.This.Jacket. Like, if I was some sizes smaller, Leslie and Erin would not have left the shoot with it. ๐Ÿ˜€ lol

This is an image I’ve been wanting to create for a while! Can’t wait to try something like this again!

Definitely loved her whimsical look in the midst of the alley.

Work it!
