Bernardo and Sheryl’s international love story began virtually, while Bernardo was living in San Diego and Sheryl was living in Dubai. They met through a website sponsored by our church to connect single members from our churches worldwide. After building a great friendship for months, Bernardo flew over to Dubai to meet Sheryl in person for the first time. While there, they began officially dating and ten days later Bernardo proposed. Hey, when you know you know, and Bernardo certainly knew!
Bernardo and Sheryl are absolutely wonderful together and I am so happy to have been there to witness their union. Their wedding day was a very beautiful occassion surrounded by their closest friends and loved ones at the very beautiful St. Petka’s Serbian Orthodox Church in San Marcos, California. Wtih loved ones coming in from around the world (and those unable to attend were able to tune in via Facebook live streaming), it was certainly and international affair!
