Recently I had the opportunity to travel to the Portugal and Spain! While there, I visited Lisbon, Seville, and Madrid (with pit stops in Évora and Córdoba). Portugal and Spain are such beautiful countries (with WONDERFUL FOOD) and I’m so happy that I was able to spend some time there.
What I love most about Portugal and Spain (and quite honestly most of the European countries I’ve visited thus far), is the general feel of relaxation there. While I know people there are busy and I’m sure many lead very hectic lives, you really get the sense that people there take the time to enjoy themselves. Here in Los Angeles, I’m so used to feeling hurried and an air of busyness so it was a nice change of pace to slow down and relax.
I started off in Lisbon and while there, I decided to roam around and take photos! I <3 Lisbon!
After leaving Lisbon, I got to travel around the historic city of Évora (which is most known for its cork production).
And then I got to stop off in Seville! Fun fact about Seville: Seville is the sister city of Kansas City, Missouri, which is right across the river from my hometown Kansas City, Kansas! It was so cool that they have a street called Avenida Kansas City. I got really excited when I saw it. I loved seeing the architecture all around the city. There were so many photo-worthy sights that I really couldn’t contain myself.
The Plaza de España was so beautiful! I must photograph a couple at this location sometime in the very near future!
I can’t wait to go back again! I absolutely enjoyed myself there. Next time I return, I’ll be sure to photograph around Madrid (which didn’t happen this time) and spend more time in Portugal. 🙂
