Oh, how much do I love the enchanting country of Italy? Let me count the ways! I’ve had the opportunity to travel to Italy on two different occasions. My first trip to Italy brought me to the beautiful and historic city of Venice.
I got quite a bit of exercise while in Venice, as there are no cars there! The only way to get around is either by foot or by gondola, which I thought was really interesting. It was rainy for a majority of the time I was there, but that didn’t ruin anything!
The highlight for me in Venice (and honestly any place I go to) was THE FOOD. It was so wonderful! And to be able to eat actual pizza in actual Italy? It was actually amazing. Also, I had some of the best ravioli of my entire life in Venice at Osteria Giorgione. Another good restaurant was Bacaro Jazz.
The people were friendly too!
Venice is widely known for their Venetian glass. I got to sit in on a live glass blowing demonstration while I was there. Fun fact: I’ve always had a bit of a desire to learn glass blowing! Just hasn’t happened yet.
I <3 Venice! I can't wait to go back!
